One Team, One Goal is a highly structured process designed to clean up unfinished business, rejuvenate the team and restore levels of trust and co-operation. The team emerges from a 2½ day breakaway refreshed and aligned to a common goal. Communication is enhanced and the issues of the past no longer trouble the team.

What the team will experience?


Prior to working with your team, we recommend doing a team snapshot/climate audit. Based on the response from the assessments and climate audit we then formulate the correct intervention for each level of the organisation.

For illustration purposes we have included our baseline approach below:

 
  • The process is linked to the current strategic intent and it compliments current processes and interventions happening within the team environment.
  • The entire process is aimed at addressing current attitudes and moulding desirable behaviour. As such, it should be people and not process focused.
  • The end result is an increased team ability to confront, handle and work with the current and future dynamics within the organisation.


     
  • There are 2 main areas where we believe that the greatest amount of attention needs to be placed in order to bring about a successful culture change process:
    • A clear common goal - as illustrated by the "WHAT" in the diagram. This is often linked not only to the vision, mission and values, but also the strategic objectives.
    • People behaviour as illustrated under the "WHO" portion of the diagram. This could be further broken down into a focus on management/leadership on the one side and teams/team members on the other.
  • In order to address the above, the following would need to occur:
    • The common goal needs to be determined and agreed upon by all the relevant role players.
    • A simple, concise and clear message and explanation has to go out to the whole organisation.
    • The message needs to be made visible and needs to become entrenched in the hearts and minds of the people.

Customisation of One Team, One Goal:

  • We combine the outcomes from the Initial Audit and Interviews process with our proven processes and technology so as to ensure an excellent outcome for the team.
  • All of our interventions follow a specific delivery sequence, which ensures that teams develop per the required objective and thus support the transformation process.
  • This is a 5-step process:
    1. Experience a real life situation
    2. Analyse the result - structured feedback sessions led by skilled facilitators
    3. Come to a facilitated realisation: realise how they could have handled it better
    4. Learn an appropriate new skill - to improve individual and team performance
    5. Practice and apply new skill until it results in ability and enhanced performance

One Team, One Goalt is a two and a half day teambuilding program that includes a combination of workshop sessions and practical exercises. These take place in the mountains, the bush or even your boardroom.

The members of your team are exposed to enjoyable, challenging teambuilding activities in and around the conference venue.

Your trust in each other grows, and your ability to confront and handle life, people and problems, and to "hold a position" in the face of these, is developed.
