The end result is newspapers containing newsworthy articles depicting how teams interpret what they are reporting on. What the team will experience?

In 7th edition, delegates will experience what it is like to operate in the world of print media, complete with editors, reporters, layout artists and photographers. Everyone works together as a team to produce a quality tabloid.
 
Teams will express their points of view by submitting newspaper articles, advertisements, and letters to the editor. Interviews may have to be conducted to get the story "straight from the horse's mouth" sometimes.

With the tight deadlines of the newspaper world, which team will make it to the printing press in time? Get your copy proofread, have your advertising in place, not forgetting your "Dear Abby" column as well as letters to the Editor. Your end product will cover everything that is found in an actual newspaper.

The news has at one point or another played a part in every one of our lives. Whether it is a weather report giving flash-flood warnings, information on presidential campaigns, or an obituary citing the death of a television personality, we crave the news.

The team will be given the opportunity  to create their own newspaper, however, instead of reporting on the past they will be challenged to report on the future. This forms part of the change management process and allows teams to manage their future from the present.

Logistically teams are given everything they need to produce their newspapers:
  • Printers

  • Digital cameras

They will need to fulfill all of the necessary roles as well:
  • Managing Editor
  • Chief Editor
  • Photographer
  • Reporters
  • Layout Editor
  • Circulation Manager
The newspapers will also need to include all of the usual aspects that a normal newspaper has:
  • Front page headline and editorial
  • Dear Abby column (advice on problems)
  • Advert Cartoons
  • Classifieds
  • Letters to the Editor
  • Entertainment
  • Financial Results
  • Sport
